The madness continues in American politics. Here are two things that make me believe this…

The other day there was a debate among all the candidates. Seemingly, this would be a fair and outstanding way to showcase all the potential presidential hopefuls’ traits, brains and stances.

Well, it was hosted by ONE television station that ran it alone. It wasn’t a debate aired on all networks. It wasn’t moderated by an impartial person (instead it was overseen by an employee of that television network).

I have NOT put the station or the guy’s name here because I don’t want to contribute to buzz for an event that was a non-event. Duh!

Next, have you heard about GetBlue or GoBlue or BuyBlue or ActBlue? It really is one of those names, but again I don’t want you clicking over there because of me. Just do your own google search.

This group is centralizing the contributions for the entire Democratic Party via their Web site. This is all fine, but you can’t tell me that it’s done out of the goodness of their hearts.

In fact, it’s not. The disclaimer at the bottom of the page says, ” Paid for by XXXXXXX (www.votedonkey.com) and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. Contributions to XXXXXXX are not tax deductible.”
Well that’s a fine how do you do. Why not just give to the candidate directly and take the tax break instead of funneling the money through these guys who probably take a cut.

Better yet, why not use the URL at the top of this page – VoteDonkey.com to satirize the entire democratic party OR to set up a true, above-board political donation site.

My disclaimer is that I own VoteDonkey.com and will entertain offers from interested parties. That might seem a little self-serving, but so is centralizing a donation site and then presenting it as if it’s doing a great thing for American politics and the voting process.

Bah!

More to come…
