OK. In a post that I put up yesterday I mentioned people who live in Petaluma as being less than friendly. This was incorrect.

According to the kind emails I’ve received (about two dozen so far), these Petaluma people are just downright neighborly.

In the interest of full disclosure, I put Petaluma in the post because it’s the hometown of tech genius Leo Laporte and he’s been on my mind lately. NO, not in that way you freaks.

Nah, I’ve been thinking about Leo Laporte lately because I’ve decided to unsubscribe myself from one of his podcasts. This probably won’t hurt Leo’s presence on the Internet or the Pod-o-sphere because he has about a dozen podcasts (he calls them netcasts) and boasts millions of listeners.

The trouble is that Leo Laporte is probably an alien. I say this in all seriousness because there is not enough time in the day to listen to all his podcasts. Put them end-to-end and press play and you’ll be hostage to the iPod until the end of eternity. So unless Leo has discovered a time machine (probably introduced by Steve Jobs in some back room at MacWorld), he must be an alien with the power to twist time and reality.

Well, that’s the long way of saying good-bye to Leo’s tech podcast on KFI radio. It’s a great show, but I’d rather spend my precious time listening to the GizWiz, TWIT and some of his other shorter shows.

Leo – if you’re listening and I know you are because the aliens can read all human minds – I haven’t gone too far. Keep up the good work. Oh, and here’s a link for Dvorak.
More to come…
